In a reservoir of Ljudvigsburga there has passed an unusual pumpkin regatta. Participants of competition should make the swimming means of the big pumpkins on which by means of oars it was necessary to reach finish. 

Organised on the occasion of opening of a season of harvesting a pumpkin regatta - annual action. Festival of opening of a season every year celebrate differently. In 2009 it has been devoted astronomy - of pumpkins made planets and stars, on the same time the sea became a holiday theme.

Participants cut out boats from more than 90-kilogramme pumpkins, beacons and sea animals. Pumpkins from which have scraped out all seeds and pulp, became quite suitable for a heat.

Has not managed on an autumn holiday and without culinary competition where visitors prepared various dishes among which there were soups, pelmeni. Specially made pumpkin champagne became a nail of a culinary party.
